Boulevard Reconstruction

The reconstruction of Bulevardi Deshmoret e Kombit has increased the traffic chaos around the city, but the area is starting to look better. One side of the Boulevard between the Lana and Mother Teresa Square is almost completed, and work is continuing outside the Art Gallery.

The grounds of the Art Gallery are also getting a face lift. The front lawn has been replanted and the pathways around the building are being retiled.

Work has also started outside the Opera House where the footpaths have been pulled up.

Looks like a bombed city. I don't understand why do they need to riconstruct all the streets in the same time? The beton blocks in the midline of the bulevard are very ugly.

It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the upcoming mayoral race

I think they are scheduled to finish work on the boulevard by 31 December - don't know if they will make it though.

I suppose they have to pull up so many streets at once because so many streets are in such poor condition. I wouldn't want to live on a street that was at the bottom of the queue.

The trouble is that trying to do so many means that they are not properly done - either poor standards, or the constructors part finish one project and then go to work on another.
